Automobile A/C repair

Post by Pete » Thu Jul 21, 2022 9:27 pm

Local shop quoted me $2600 to fix my Subaru A/C. I politely paid the $125 diagnostic fee and drove away

I knew of a small Subaru repair shop that was about 30 miles away, so I drove there. They took the car in immediately and fixed me while I waited, in about 30 minutes. Total bill $140.

I don't know if you're aware, but if you use air conditioning in your car, fuel consumption goes up a lot.

If it's as hot as my bedroom was last Monday and Tuesday I sympathise, I had a cold shower on Monday put sweaty clothes in the washing machine, clean clothes on, then overheated, they were ready for washing in no time.

It's been boiling, really humid too.

Hah old Subaru engine finally blew up today. Really can't complain. Bought the car for $1 and it had 274K+ miles on it when she blew. Local Subaru shop is going to pull a late-model engine from a wreck and put it in for $2500 installed
