.700 Nitro Express, serious power

1000 grain bullets, 2000 ft per second.
Cost per bullet according to the video is $125 per round.

Image

Designed by Holland and Holland it is the most powerful "sporting round" in existence.

It has more than ten times the recoil of a .308 Winchester round.

The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one - Captain Spock (Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan).

I couldn't shoot an elephant either, but if you were given a metal target to shoot at, and a couple of free rounds to put through it, wouldn't you shoot a barrel or something with it ?

I'd give it a go. Mind you at £90 a shot, I'd have to budget for it first...
