Doesn't help that in 1970 the PLO tried to take over Jordan and caused a war which resulted in the PLO being booted out.
There was also the Dawson's field hijackings by the PFLP.
And in 1975 in Lebanon armed Palestinian terrorists played their part in causing another war.
It can honestly be said that Jordan doesn't trust them.
However, other Arab countries also host the leaders of Hamas.
Exiled leaders of Hamas live in luxury in Egypt and Qatar.
