She says she mistook her daughter for a stray dog.
The bullet killed her daughter.
I am reminded of the conservative Texas mother who shot her two daughters because she wanted her husband to "suffer".

Thanks for making my point. If those daughters had been armed, they'd be alive. The US needs a federal law requiring everyone to carry.
There is no guarantee they would be alive even if they were armed.

I think the point is to ridicule the arm everyone argument.

The USA has a catastrophic problem with absurd gun laws and a shocking number of innocent people getting injured / killed.

There's also an absurd number of gun owners who accidentally maim / kill themselves having not been taught gun safety.

The people who kill themselves because they don't understand gun safety are probably bad drivers, too. They're doing us a favor. That's why the fed needs to mandate everyone own and carry.

Nothing like a gunfight in a traffic jam to make a journey more exciting.

Does any of that make it ok for innocent children to die from gunshot wounds?
What the difference between that and being shot by a swimming pool?
Or drowned by a pistol

Lee Harvey Oswald just wanted to legally own a firearm.

Mark David Chapman.

John Hinkley Jr.

Nathan Gale.

Stephen Paddock.

James Eagan Holmes.

The laws were different back in Oswalds Day. Also Hinkley. Probably Chapman too

Most mass shooters get their guns legally.

It is ridiculously easy to get guns in America.

Most assassins and mass shooters got their guns legally.

The 2nd Amendment is the 2nd Amendment Pete.
The flaws stem from that.

Any control deemed unconstitutional can be struck down by a gun liberal judge and scrapped.

Changing the amendment to legally force controls through, to ban the likes of James Eagan Holmes or a Lee Harvey Oswald type from being able to own a firearm, that would make a difference.

In short a new constitutional amendment providing red flag laws, to infringe the rights of psychopaths whilst enabling decent, trained, competent people to be able to get a licence, own firearms and ammunition.
