Imagine what 300 good paying federal jobs would do for the economy of any small to medium city almost anywhere in America. If all Americans are paying to support and maintain the federal bureaucracy then why shouldn't all Americans benefit? Why is all of our collective investment being concentrated in one small region of the country, to the benefit of a handful of counties?

Who do you think is paying for this?

Median is bs. Give me the average. And, if they're *really* looking at median income, where is SF, the home to more billionaires than anywhere else in the world
So you are saying the counties surrounding DC are NOT among the very richest in the country?
No. But I'm suspicious. Having said that, does it really make a differnce if Fairfax County is #2 or #10?
What matters is the substantial concentration of wealth surrounding Washington DC that could be an effective tool to economically assist many diverse regions of our country.

Generally speaking, you could say that about the East Coast. Naval Academy and West Point are short flights. Major bases in VA, FL, CT, MD, ME, NH, PA...

And, just as generally speaking, if you need to from here to there, you need major bases on both coasts.

And putting the Defense Department in the middle of nowhere is exactly what those lobbyists deserve. Come to think of it, Anchorage might be the best location for the Defense Department. And put HUD someplace like Salinas, KS or Tupelo, MS. I don't know if anyone would see the irony of putting the Department of Education in Little Rock, and the Department of Energy lands in Amarillo, TX. Now let's see how many career military want to make the move to a consulting gig.

Trump is a man alone in Washington DC. All the forces of a mediocre corrupt and self serving permanent bureaucracy and complicit elected officials are working against the President and against The People that elected them, and for their own interests. The best way for Trump and The People to address this problem will be to redistribute the federal government. Move the EPA to West Virginia. Move the FBI to Kansas City. Move the Dept of Agriculture to Des Moines. Move the CIA to San Francisco where it can keep a closer watch on China. And straight down the list.

The point is to break up the federal bureaucracy and make its employees live and work in our communities among the people it supposedly serves, and in the communities its decisions impact the most. Let them send their kids to our schools, shop in our stores, go to our churches, et al. Send all those bureaucrats out here to us, where we have the President's back, rather than leaving them cloistered in Washington DC where they are trying to stab the President in the back.

And in the end maybe some of the self serving careerists in Washington DC will either leave the government, or will remember whose interests they are supposed to be serving.
See it works!

“Two small agencies within the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) may be moving outside of Washington, D.C. and the federal employees involved are not happy about that. Both agencies are seeing an increase of resignations on a monthly basis.“
Dept of Agriculture employees are not happy, but state and localities are. Hopefully these employees of ours will learn to serve us a little better too!
