Just think of all the wind and solar subsidies this will generate.

Well. we'll need some source of power when that natural gas runs out.

Do you want to continue the "hunt and hope" strategy of finding fossil fuels or do you want to secure clean, renewable energy?

Remember: the Russians believed that the best way to damage America was help elect Donald Trump.

Speaking for myself I favor both searching for additional fossil fuels and secure clean renewable energy. So long as it comes from the USA and not other countries.

I don’t get that worked up about it. We’ve made the investments here, our environment is amongst the cleanest in the world, and we have fossil fuel reserves to last for the foreseeable future.

I would have thought by now that a scientist would have figured out how to harness lightning and ocean waves to produce a never ending supply of electricity

Seems that many on this board disagree with you. They don't have an issue paying trillions of dollars to our enemies.

IMHO, until we have a major advance in storage technology, we'll need fossil fuels for baseline generation and to fill the gap on renewables.
