Explanation.

viewtopic.php?f=11&t=62804

Gorsuch agreed with Scalia and Kagan in that the definition of violent felon was deemed by Scalia in a similar case to be too broad. This guy didn't hurt anybody, just had a habit of breaking into people's houses.

Trump's Supreme Court Pick Sides With Liberals In Huge Supreme Court Decision

***CORRECTION: The title of the story and email indicated that Justice Gorsuch sided with 'Illegals' when it should have stated 'Liberals'. We apologize for the mistake. The decision is still a blow to immigration enforcement efforts. We, here at TTN, apologize for the mistake.***

Justice Neil Gorsuch, President Trump's first Supreme Court appointment, cast the deciding vote in a decision released Tuesday that sided with an immigrant fighting his deportation.

Gorsuch sided with court's four liberal justices in favor of the immigrant, James Garcia Dimaya, who the government sought to deport after his second first-degree burglary conviction in California.

The Justice Department argued his first-degree burglary conviction constituted a crime of violence, which is an aggravated felony that results in deportation under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).

"Today’s vague laws may not be as invidious, but they can invite the exercise of arbitrary power all the same — by leaving the people in the dark about what the law demands and allowing prosecutors and courts to make it up. The law before us today is such a law."

So Gorsuch wants to keep illegals with multiple felony convictions in the country. Amazing. Why can’t he just be deported for being here illegally ? America, what a country.

This IS what you voted for. Remember it was all about that SCOTUS pick. Everything else be damned. How's that working out for you now? :lo2l: It's working out pretty badly for everyone now. Thanks.
Wait. I thought you wanted “space “ ?
Trolling or oblivious? I can't tell.
If only those Gary Johnson voters in Michigan and Pennsylvania had voted for Hillary instead, we never would have elected Trump. How is that working out for you ?
Unfortunately the polling showed an even split between taking votes from Trump and Hillary so it would have made no difference.
Of course it would have made a difference if Trump haters like yourself voted for Hillary in Michigan and Pennsylvania . He won those states by razor thin margins unlike a state like NY where she won by over 1.7 million votes. Trump won Michigan by less than 11,000 votes Johnson got 172,000 votes so if just a small percentage of Trump hating Johnson voters like you voted that way she would have won Michigan. You must want to kick yourself.
Except that it wouldn’t have. As I showed you before the split was even. The margin of victory wouldn’t have changed.

I’d be known cling myself if I had voted for Trump.

Are you being obtuse on purpose ? If just 12,000 left leaning people like you had voted for Hillary instead of Stein or Johnson in Michigan she would have won that state. If a similar thing happened in Pennsylvania she would have won the election. Your actions would have had no effect on what right leaning Johnson voters did. Even if every Trump voter switched to Johnson in NY it would have made no difference in the final outcome.

Then 12k would have gone for Trump. You being wrong does not make me obtuse. Had no one voted for Johnson then the split back to Hillary and trump would have been even leaving the margin of victory essentially the same. Either way, none of this matters. She lost and your guy won. I get why you would want to distract from that with hypotheticals that deny the facts

So the histrionics um er I mean dignified protests by some on the left about Gorsuch weren't entirely warranted. At least regarding this decision.
