Out of the collapse of the Honda F1 team, which had fallen into administration, Ross Brawn bought the team and the car he and Honda had been developing for £1.
There's now a documentary about Brawn GP's meteoric rise and World Championship success.
With no Honda engine available they looked to other suppliers and the Mercedes engine was the best fit.
The car featured a controversial double diffuser which dramatically improved down force.
They started the season without sponsors and pretty much blew everyone away.
Jenson Button, who had been a rather unlucky driver throughout the 2000's, suddenly found himself in the best car of the lot and became World Champion.

The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common:
They don't alters their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit the views.
They don't alters their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit the views.
