Ohio man Desmen Ramsey was sentenced to 18 months in prison at the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Tuesday. According to Cleveland.com, Ramsey received the maximum sentence after pleading guilty to aggravated assault concerning the messages he left to a dumpster company on Oct. 13, 2022. He was initially charged with two counts of complicity.
Ramsey claimed he was intoxicated when he contacted the dumpster company and left messages seeking to hire a hitman to kill his son after the two had an altercation. Assistant Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Zach Anderson said Ramsey assumed he was calling a friend, identified as “Jesse”, a motorcycle club member, but contacted Budget Dumpster Company in Westlake. In the messages, Ramsey said he would pay $5,000 for the hit and didn’t “give a f*ck” about his son’s whereabouts.
