Fearing God, worshiping because you don't want to go to hell, it's the same as a battered wife doing things for a husband she doesn't want to be murdered by.
It is not love. It is the please don't send me to hell, servitude of cowards.

Love trusts, respects and cares. It does not control, demand, or kill.
Love is risking your own life to save another, not knowing or caring if there's an afterlife. Doing what you can to protect another, not because of divine reward, not because a book says, but because you love them more than your own existence and want them to be safe.
To that which caused all life to exist, I have only gratitude and love. The murderer of the Old Testament doesn't exist, nor does an actual hell.
Saying that, if you wrong people, and there's an afterlife, everyone will know who and what you are.
