They do. I said the "good old days" not the 1920s specifically. The arts aren't being censored.
The 60s through the 80s were pretty good. Jolson was big in the 20s as was that type of performance art.
Opinions vary. Art changes over time and what is or isn't good art is highly subjective.

True that’s why they stopped doing it in the 1930s. It was very popular in its time and should be preserved for posterity.
Blackface did not stop in the 30's. It has been well preserved.
Minstrel shows like Jolson did in Vaudeville faded by the 30s with the advent of talking pictures.
