Colin Kaepernik was signed for 2017

with the 49ers but had a player option and chose to opt out of his contract. So in all the uproar about how he is being blackballed by NFL owners for his decision to not stand for the national anthem and for wearing a pro castro t-shirt keep that in mind.

If he wanted to play in Florida that Castro t shirt was a dumb move

Definitely would/will be the best backup

Probably better than a few starters

Kaepernik isn't signed because he's not an NFL caliber starting QB. He had his 15 minutes of fame, then NFL defenses figured him out.
