Tried out Bodhi Linux distro...

Post by barrysoetoro » Tue Feb 27, 2018 1:19 pm

So far so good. Works awesome on an old laptop I have (originally came with XP, probably a 2006 or so, has WiFi and Bluetooth installed). Plays youtube videos great.

I recommend this for old computers. Prior to that.... maybe Porteus.

somebody just now gave me an HP Pavilion g7 laptop with win10.

I may try it out as a dual boot on this machine. I sometimes run into apps that need Windoze or are a lot easier to run on Windoze

****EDIT I may have to research dual-booting further. I found this in a review:

"....I encountered a major issue whilst trying to dual boot Bodhi Linux with Windows 8.1.
The Ubiquity installer failed when it came to installing the GRUB bootloader. I ended up having to install the bootloader manually.
Installing Bodhi on its own on the UEFI machine or installing on a machine with a standard BIOS caused no issues...."
