Iranian attacks on tankers (in the 1980's)

I had no idea that this kind of thing was going on in the 1980's.

Sadly when America removed Saddam from power, we removed the most important block to Iran's foreign influence.
And of course, let's not forget that there was NO Al Qaeda in Iraq when Saddam was in power.
The mullahs in Tehran are still celebrating the deaths of many hundreds of thousands of Iraqis

I am so sorry that your weak leadership was pulled into America's filthy debacle in Iraq.

Absolutely, unlike 1991, Iraq wasn't threatening it's neighbours, there was no reason to go in. Iran was more of a threat, as was Libya and North Korea. But we didn't dare bomb them because both really did have WMDs.
