There may be a tidal wave of this expression of freedom of speech coming.
I don't exactly know what these overpaid athletes living in a great country are protesting, but have at it.
And you don't know what it's like being black in America, do you, Cupcake? But I'm sure growing up in lily white Long Island, deep down you know what it's about but would never admit it.
Lol there are plenty of black people on Long Island. There were plenty of them when I was growing up too.
So does that make you an expert on being black in America? :singe2:
No , are you ? Is any one person an expert on the experience of everyone else of the same race. I don't think so.
So if you don't understand their plight why do you criticize them? :nesaitpas:
These overpaid rich athletes do not have a plight. That's the point.
A. They are paid what the market will bear. Are you now against Capitalism?
B. You have no idea what they have experienced. Most of them weren't rich until they got to the pros.
Lol what was the plight than these rich baseball players had to endure ?
We're talking about the NFL now, aren't we, Dumbass? :singe2:

I'm speaking to "overpaid rich athletes," but there are many in baseball that grew up impoverished.
There are many not in baseball that grew up impoverished. As soon as a kid shows some talent things change. So what exactly is this Hispanic baseball player protesting ?
He's possibly showing solidarity. I don't know his personal story. People don't have to be personally impacted by an issue to take a position against it.
In other words he think it makes him look good to a certain segment of society. He has a great life in a great country and he still protests. It's quite funny.
You know what he thinks, what his motives are, and what his life has been like? Now THAT is funny.

Still it wasn't about the NFL like Tready claimed. I am sure he appreciates you attempt to help him out of his fail. BTW did you know the major league minimum salary is 535,000 well into the top 1%.

Correct, it wasn't strictly about the NFL or MLB. How does that help him?

No, I wasn't aware of what the league minimum is. I'm aware that it has nothing to do with their life before MLB.

I support the players right to express their privileged displeasure.

I support the pResident's right to comment, just as I support everyone else right to say to say/feel/act out as they see fit.

I support the fans choosing to spend their dollars elsewhere.

Isn't that what freedom is supposed to be?

I heard today that a little league team is following their role models and taking a knee. The coach and parents support their freedom to do so - even though they don't have a clue why they are doing it. I find that pathetic.
