Dow futures down 400 points as GDP disappoints

"Investors just got their first look at first-quarter GDP, and it's not pretty.

Stock futures are seeing losses accelerate following the release of the first estimate on first-quarter GDP. Dow futures are down nearly 400 points, or 1%, at 38,637, while the S&P 500 is down 54 points, or 1.1%, at 5,082. Nasdaq-100 futures were down 244 points, or 1.4%, at 17,423.

Official data showed U.S. GDP rose by just 1.6% during Q1, falling shy of economists' expectations for 2.2% growth, according to a survey from The Wall Street Journal."
