First time I ever tried surfing, there was a gorgeous surfer lass at Cayton Bay near Scarborough. I confidently paddled out, tried to catch a wave, stood up and the board sank underneath me, flipped out of the water and hit me in full sight of her.
I paddled back to shore and gave my friend his board back.
