Why Hitler Did Not Go Full Socialist

He knew he did not have to nationalize corporate Germany so long as he had its full cooperation.

"Dozens of big U.S. companies have suspended political donations in the wake of the deadly Capitol riot, with many saying they would stop supporting Republicans who objected to the certification of President-elect Joe Biden’s victory over Donald Trump.

Large political donors—from banking giant JPMorgan Chase & Co. to Pentagon contractor Raytheon Technologies Co. —have said they are suspending contributions from their political-action committees while they review which politicians they support and why. Most are suspending all donations, but at least a dozen companies including AT&T Inc. and Walmart Inc. have specifically said they won’t contribute to lawmakers who challenged Electoral College votes for Mr. Biden."

We are getting close to a one party plutocracy. In a couple of years there will be a civil war in the Democratic Party between the corporatists and the Progressives. The corporatists will need to keep the GOP alive if they want to win that battle.

The "corporatists" are throwing in their lot with the side that is going to pay them for their loyalty.

Parties come and go. Parties evolve. You Trumpster traitors can join his party when the GOP splits.

The GOP is completely finished if it splits.

There is only one party now, and until 2016 there was only one party then.

We have a giant Uniparty consisting of Democrats and Republicans and 4 million permanent unelected government bureaucrats, and a growing and young radical left fringe group and an even smaller group on the right consisting of conservatives. The Uniparty is reacting very badly after nearly losing its long uncontested grip on power (and the purse prize that comes with it) and now it is lashing out against the American people who dared to challenge it.

That assumes that:

1) they’re not already finished, and;

2) they’re not already split.

The statement does not assume they could not be finished already. As a minority party they can’t afford to split.
